For centuries the only way off of the Great British isles was to swim or invade France by boat, then flying in planes become common place and travel to France was quicker still.
80 years after and a tunnel was built between the two nation and now thousands of men are dragged to Calais and Paris every other way week, forced to travel to France for cheep booze, fags and whatever else the missus demands.
